EcoSnoop is a networking and education app that you can use to encourage better, improved and new environmental and resource awareness using social networking.
How does it work? It’s a kind of on the street environmental activism using social networking. If you see anything around your town, city, etc - like a leaky fire hydrant or if you see a company that you believe is wasting any kind of resource etc. Then take a picture using your iPhone and along with its geo tagging capabilities you can post it on the net, thus highlighting the waste, smart.
EcoSnoop is designed around the principle of helping you to understand the waste that’s created within local and national authorities, companies or our own communities. For example within office buildings, it’s estimated that we waste as much as 30% of energy consumed.
EcoSnoop is a way of highlighting the problems and then looking for opportunities and ways and means to provide cost effective solutions to stop the waste.
