Samsung Sings Evergreen...

Greener Mobiles

Samsung’s latest green mobile phone is the Evergreen A667.  It’s a greeny alright, sporting such credentials as being 100% recyclable when you’re done with it, which is excellent.  Something we are very keen on is eco packaging and Samsung have utilised 80% recycled post-consumer paper with this baby and they’ve used soy ink for the décor.

To keep the eco mobile theme going, it has eco-oriented wallpaper and ringtones.  Its hazardous substance free and comes with all sorts of eco-themed tools and apps.  It comes with standard stuff such as dual-band 3G connectivity and quad-band GSM technology.  A slide out 4 row QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4 inch display, as well as a 2.0 megapixel digital camera and video camcorder and a microSD/microSDHC card slot that can take up to 32GB.  An optical joystick, Bluetooth 2.1 and a music player.

Usual suspects such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace integration, as well as GPS apps to get you there. One-key access to messages, Instant Messaging and mobile email too and it has “conversation” style threaded messaging which is dead easy to use.  Further eco bits are that you can charge it up with Energy Star energy efficient charger (level V) standby power loss is less than 0.03W and is 75% energy efficient, nice. There’s no paper guide with this as it comes with a CD for training, help etc.

Nice one Samsung
