iPhone 4 In White Is Actually Green...

Greener Mobiles

The iPhone 4 is a fantastic phone it really is, but it’s hasn't previously been a very green mobile phone, in fact Apple has had a pounding when it comes to their green credentials, what with Greenpeace giving them a hard time since 2006 about their phones and about how un-resource friendly they are.  And it didn’t help when Apple baled their mobile offering out of O2’s green list last year.  Well in spite of all that, Apple may just have done themselves proud with their latest white on the outside, green on the inside offering.

How so?  The charger is designed to be as energy efficient as possible and theres more.  Apple have made a concerted effort to reduce some of the toxic stuff on the inside for example:  The screen is arsenic free, and it’s made up from PVC-free parts, hurrah and that includes the frame, the USB cable and the headphones.  And it doesn’t stop there, the circuit boards are bromine free, the packaging is made from bio-based materials and post-consumer recycled fiberboard.

Well done Apple, maybe now O2 will put them on their list?
