We found really cool electricity and carbon dashboard (shown below) that gives a live reading of the energy types being used to power Great Britain. Look here if you want to instantly know the UK’s electricity use by type and current carbon neutral status.
This dashboard is a great tracker of the UK’s current electricity use split by type and shows the current load on the National Grid.
As well as low carbon, traditional and nuclear types, the dashboard also shows how much electricity is being imported, carbon emissions and measures the progress being made to reach the UK’s carbon intensity target of around 100 CO2eq/ kWh.
Oh yeah, and did we forget the countdown clock at the end? I wish we also had a countdown to carbon neutrality timer.
