Miady AS-TPB21 Battery Charger

The Miady AS-TPB21 is a great mid-sized battery pack to charge your green module phone. Make sure you use a green energy supplier to really get the most out of this great charger.

These battery packs really help you out in a pinch like if you forget to charge your phone overnight but what is this battery charger like day to day?

Unboxing

The package was compact and light, the box has a decent feel and shade of brown to it. There were several logos and icons printed all over it,

This was a pleasant, well branded item that we enjoyed unveiling.

Look and feel

This battery charger feels premium. It has a really nice size, shape and it’s really the body’s texture that makes it feel such high quality. The outside top and bottom surfaces have little indentations to give them a soft, yet random pattern.

While not rough, the textured pattern gives you something to grip on to as you carry it. Much better than the slick feel some items come with that just slip out of your hand without warning. At the same time, that texture and pattern is so well done that it isn’t noticeable to the eyes at all.  The outside band is smooth in contrast and slightly raised above the rest of the outer edge.

Size and weight

It’s a great size, roughly the same as a small smartphone, definitely less than an iPhone 11.

Features

This is just a battery pack for your mobile phone, so the only thing it really needs to do is charge your phone’s battery and be recharged itself ready to be used again. You will be happy to find out there are a few handy features that increase this battery pack’s utility.

It has small little loop holes on the side so you can attach a strap. You remember the phone charms that were all the rage in the late 90s and through the noughties? You can attach a phone charm or a strap to as an extra dimension.

Charge time to full

For the first time charging this battery pack, it took just under 12 hours. We thought this was good and used it to charge up a mobile phone the next day..

After the first charge, we rarely allowed the battery pack to discharge completely, though on one or two occasions, we were caught out. That was totally our fault and we go into that below when we talk about the number of charges thus battery pack provides.

With just two bars remaining, the battery pack takes around three to five hours to charge back up to maximum.

From 0% flat, not lighting up at all and not giving any charge, we recommend you leave it overnight and it will take 12 hours to come back up to 100%. It’s not recommended you allow batteries to go completely flat, but this kind of thing will happen, especially when you’re trying to extract every last bit of juice to boost up your daily use mobile phone.

Number of charges provided

because we didn’t think about how many charges we would need to take from it. Different phones will have different results. iPhone 11 has a large battery and takes longer to charge to 100% than some older phones and the  Samsung Galaxy for example.

Every day use

The battery pack gets warm as it charges up your phone but don’t get unbearably hot. It’s just a comfortable warm feeling and this was even during warm weather above 30C end the battery pack was in a pocket. We’ll try and update you with the temperature increase we feel in winter and how it performs.
